Connect to URI_Open or the URI Wired Network and browse to safeconnect.uri.edu:8008/html/xpc/index.html- Check I accept the terms of the End-User License and click Start.
- Follow the instructions to download and run NetworkWizardLoader.exe.
- If prompted with a security warning, it is okay to click Run to run NetworkWizardLoader.exe.
- When prompted, enter your URI Credentials.
Follow the on-screen instructions to configure the secure network.- Be sure to click yes on any User Account Control dialogs.
- If prompted to select a network location, choose Public.

Manual Configuration
Download SecureW2.- Run the SecureW2 installer, ensuring that EAP-TTLS component is selected.
- Download PCA-3G5.cer and SVRSecureG3.cer, then double click on each certificate and click Install Certificate.
- Open the Windows Control Panel, then select Network and Sharing Center.
- Click Set up a new connection or network.
- Select Manually connect to a wireless network.
Enter the following settings:- Network Name: URI_Secure
- Security Type: WPA2-Enterprise
- Encryption Type: AES
- Check Start this connection automatically
- Click Next.
- Click Change connection settings
- Under Choose a network authentication method, select SecureW2 EAP-TTLS.
- Click Settings.
- Create a new profile named URI_Secure.
- Configure the new profile.
- In the Connection tab:
- Check Enable session resumption.
- Move to the Certificates tab:
- Click Add CA and select Verisign Class 3 Public Primary Certification Authority – G3.
- Check Verify server name and set the server name to secure1.uri.edu;secure2.uri.edu.
In the Authentication tab:- Set Authentication Method to PAP.
- Click Advanced (bottom left).
- For a personal computer, check Always save user credentials
- For a lab or shared computer, check Disable save user credentials
- Check Hide domain.
- Click OK to exit the advanced settings, then OK to leave SecureW2 and OK to leave the network connection settings.
- Try connecting to URI_Secure. A balloon notification should appear in the system tray; click it. When prompted, enter your URI Credentials.
