McAfee VirusScan Removal

These instructions show how to remove McAfee VirusScan from Windows XP. However, the method for removal from Windows Vista is similar.

Removal Instructions

1. Click the Start button.
2. Select Control Panel, sometimes under Settings.

   

3. Locate and double click the Add or Remove Programs icon.

   

4. Look for McAfee VirusScan Enterprise in the list of applications, and select it.
5. Click the Remove button on the right-hand side of the selection.

   

6. Repeat the Process for the Antispyware Module

   

7. Follow the uninstaller dialogues until completed.
8. For the Agent, click Start and then Run.
9. Type "C:\Program Files\Mcafee\Common Framework\FrmInst.exe" /remove=agent
10. Restart your computer.
